There has been much confusion on how this new Executive Order changes our current situation in Santa Clara County. For clarity, the County Public Health Officer has confirmed to us that the Governor’s Order simply reinforces what the Bay Area is already doing with Shelter-in-Place, but it does mandate consistency across the State of California.
The text of the Order can be found here:
As a community let us keep each other in prayer.
Prayer for those suffering from Covid-19 and their caregivers
Lord Jesus, the healer of the sick and comforter of those who mourn, we place before you those who are suffering from coronavirus. We beg for protection over the doctors, nurses, and all the relatives and friends who are ministering to those that are sick. We ask that you give them the grace to have a caring mind and resilient spirit as they serve them. We pray that you bless the leaders of nations, governments, and medical agencies to come up with a vaccine to prevent this epidemic. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for you are with me." O Lord, we along with the Psalmist join in prayer with strong faith and hope in You. Just as the people of Nineveh, turning away from the sinful and evil ways we return to You. We implore to your mercy, protection for our loved ones and to us from the spread of deadly viruses, especially from COVID-19 virus. We request you to receive our humble prayers. Lord Jesus, we ask and pray all these things in your blessed name; Amen.
